• This job started as temporary in January, but I worked hard and was fast tracked to permanent in middle march. My duties included the operation of a forklift in a fast paced heavy machinery assembly area with high pedestrian and forklift traffic. Control, rotation, and inspection of mass inventories that were delivered to the assembly area in a timely manner. Also I volunteered for overtime wherever and whenever the job needed completion. Unfortunately I was a victim of the massive economic downturn of 2008 in which I was laid off and then returned to school.

• Once I was laid off due to lack of work from my most recent employer I thought it best to better myself and return to school. Here at GNTC formerly CVTC I was enrolled into the Construction Management Diploma program. This program was definitely a great fit for me, considering my background in the construction industry. This is a 6 to 8 quarter course with a little of everything included. Currently I have a 3.6 GPA and lack only one class before graduation. • This school is a National Guard based program that allows students to graduate faster and with more relevant real world experience. Through this program I learned discipline and the meaning of teamwork. I learned many valuable lessons and traits that I will carry on the rest of my life. At this school I received life skills training, CPR & first aid training as well as a High School Diploma. Also I was involved in the recon platoon which had many more skills including, map reading, and survival skills just to name a few. In addition to all this I was nominated and received the Leadership Award and granted Honor Graduate status.
